UNIT III:  I/O ORGANIZATION - ACCESSING I/O DEVICES - INTERRUPTS, DMA-BUSES-INTERFACE CIRCUITS - STANDARD I/O INTERFACES.

UNIT IV:  MEMORY - BASIC CONCEPTS - RAM - ROM - CACHE MEMORIES - VIRTUAL MEMORIES - MEMORY MANAGEMENT REQUIREMENTS.

UNIT V: BASIC CONCEPTS OF PIPELINING - INSTRUCTION QUEUE - DATA HAZARDS - INSTRUCTION HAZARDS - SUPERSCALAR OPERATIONS.
